FOR PATIENTS COMING FROM OUT OF STATE:
Dr. Gryskiewicz frequently has patients coming from out-of-state to have surgery.
We have developed a protocol to make your experience as seamless as possible. These are the steps to take:
FIRST STEP: E-mail paula@tcplasticsurgery.com the procedure(s) you are interested in and digital photographs of the surgical area(s). The photos should include a front view, right side view and left side view. (For breast surgery, if you are able to hold a pencil under your breast, send a picture of that.) You will also need to download our "New Patient Forms" (link found above), print them, fill them out, and mail to our Burnsville office (or scan and email to paula@tcplasticsurgery.com)
Upon receiving your information and photos, Dr. Gryskiewicz will review them. Our Surgery Coordinator will be in touch with you to discuss your options via e-mail or telephone. At this time, we will also be able to give you a surgical cost estimate for your procedure(s). Our office does provide financing options (see financing link on our home page) for our patients and would be happy to review these with you.
SECOND STEP: Once the surgery date has been determined, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date. (This will apply toward your surgical costs, but will not be refunded if you cancel.) A pre-op physical will need to be performed by your family physician approximately 2 weeks before your surgery. Payment is due in full 2 weeks prior to surgery. Payments can be in the form of cashier’s checks, credit card or one of our financing options. (Payment details will be on your "Fee Quote Sheet" that you will receive in the mail.)
All details have to be agreed upon before you arrive for your complimentary consult, so that the surgeon has everything he needs for your surgery the next day. When you arrive, Dr. Gryskiewicz will perform a thorough examination and discuss everything in great detail with you. If at the time of your visit, Dr. Gryskiewicz decides that you would not be a good candidate for the surgery, your payment will be returned to you and surgery will not be performed.
THIRD STEP: Dr. Gryskiewicz strongly recommends that patients stay in the Minneapolis area for a minimum of 5-7 days after surgery. (Different procedures require different lengths of time and we can discuss your specific situation when the time comes.) Our office staff will work with you to get your post-op visits scheduled. We ask that if you return to Minneapolis you make a follow-up visit.
AFTERCARE: You will need someone to care for you for at least 24 hours after surgery. If you do not have a caretaker, we can provide you with home health care information. (This service would be an added expense for you.)
